Mama cand m-o leganat,

Numai de dor mi-o cantat.

Mi-o cantat de dor si-o plans,

Dorul de mine s-o prins.

De cand port dor la inima,

Nu mai am nici o hodina,

Nici la pranz si nici la cina.

Cate doruri rele-s grele,

Altul moare de batran,

When mama rocked me,

She only sang to me of longing.
